Naruto painted the Hokages faces, that were carved into the walls, and was punished. His instructor, Iruka, brought Naruto to a Ramen bar after he finished cleaning the wall. Later, he took a walk, outside, then, somebody with a giant Shuriken attacked him. He tried to use his skills that his instructor taught him, but he failed, and the person who attacked him, threw the giant Shuriken. But, before it stabbed Naruto, Iruka took the blow. Which was when, Naruto used the "Art of the Shadow Dopple Ganger" and beat the dude up. Because of the fact that Naruto just killed somebody, and saved Iruka, Naruto became a Shinobi, and got his Hitai Atai head band. Later, he joined a group with two other people - Sakura and Sasuke - because he needed to join them for a class, and his Sensei is Kakashi. Kakashi later gets two bells, and he tells them they have to fight him in order to get the bells, therefor they can pass. Nobody got the bell, but the person who got the closest was Sasuke. After the little exam, they got lunch, but since Naruto tried to cheat during the little exam, he couldn't eat, and if anybody shared food with him, they would fail. But they gave him their lunches for whatever reason and they all passed.
